About

What are we?

Millennial Cities is an online urban planning resource that seeks to (1) serve as an all-purpose hub for interactive, data-driven visualization tools, (2) create articles using the tools, and (3) serve as a research medium for planners, changemakers, and curious observers.

Launched in December, 2020, this site seeks to use third party tools to connect readers with a range of issues affecting the present-day urban environment. With private and governmental interactives, we intend to highlight urban issues and supply changemakers with the tools and resources needed to make independent decisions. It’s our hope that people will not only read our content, but use the tools to further their interests and form their own opinions.

What we can do?

As a blog, we don’t intend to post any sort of breaking news. Instead, we hope to analyze certain content and offer personal insights into what we think it means. By using the tools we’ve amassed on the site, we can effectively discuss topics relating to Socio-demographics, Environment, Politics, Social Justice and more while providing a fun, interactive analysis that’s fact-driven and relatable.

How do we grow?

As an entirely new platform, Millennial Cities intends to grow in an equitable and responsible manner by welcoming a variety of writers with different backgrounds to contribute, discuss, and ultimately solve urban issues. Using a civic-minded approach, we intend to focus on issues that are relevant and newsworthy. We will continually add interactive tools that help, grow, and foster a responsible, online environment.
